Under Construction

In uptown Dallas there is a building off Mckinney and Olive being built. This building is turing out to be architecturally amazing! This tall glass building has the best view of Dallas and I had to go check it out.

My crew and I crawled through the mud to invade this construction site in order to get a closer look at the view of Dallas. Little did we know we had to climb 24 flights of stairs in order to get to the view. As we are climbing this seemingly endless stairway it gets darker and darker. I am afraid of the dark so the higher we climbed the more scared I became.

After being winded from scaling the numerous flights of stairs we reached the top! This experience was the most liberating because it was the moment that I felt like a real urban photographer. Being in the building that is being constructed is a memorable experience. Not many people can say they were inside this building while it was being built and as far as I know these shots will not be available again because this area might not be accessible when the building is complete.

I had a great time getting to photograph this even though the stairs were challenging, the weather was freezing cold, the environment was dark, and trespassing was intimidating. I'm glad we made it and now onto the next challenge!

Up Up and Away!

Taking a break from all of the burgers I have been eating lately I decided to explore Dallas even further. I decided to take a closer look at Dallas from above.

In the first photograph I didn't notice until I uploaded it that the Omni Hotel's pool was going crazy! Everyone seemed to be having fun in the sun over there. These photographs I think are a good representation of how busy Dallas can get around this time.

My next mission is to go back to this location, but at night to see what I can capture! I'm thinking Dallas would look almost like Vegas with all of the colors.

Mind Your P's and Q's

Traveling down Lowest Greenville I spotted a burger joint on the corner of Ross and Greenville. This place was called Pints and Quarts. I waltzed in there and right off the back the lady at the front counter was energetic and very nice. She helped me pick out a burger that suited my hunger needs! This mouthwatering burger is called Dale's Revenge! It has crispy onion strings, habanero cheese, applewood bacon, and Dale's secret sauce! To go along with the best burger down Greenville, to drink, I had a Bishop Strawberry Cider. It tasted refreshing! Everything from the food to the service was fantastic.

To my surprise the owner of the restaurant was a classmate of mine named John Eger. He went to The Art Institute of Dallas before opening up this fantastic burger joint. He said that he is trying to expand his restaurant and set up another location in Fort Worth! I wished him good luck as I let with a smile on my face and a full stomach.
