Go! Fight! Win!

Everyday is a chance to try something new. In my case what better way to step out of my comfort zone than modeling cheer outfits? Playing role reversal was a challenge considering I’m usually on the other side of the lens.

Even though I was modeling I wanted to talk with the photographer to get his thoughts about catalog photography and his plans for the future.

Overall it was a successful day! Maybe I will consider modeling as a career also…Just kidding!

Happy Earth Day!

As random as it sounds, I love Earth Day. It's a chance to demonstrate support for environmental protection.

Did you know that it was first celebrated in 1970, and is now coordinated globally by the Earth Day Network and celebrated in more than 193 countries each year? Makes this holiday not so random huh?

I would like to introduce everyone to my baby, Huey. I received him as a gift from my boyfriend's mom around Thanksgiving. Back then he only had two leaves. Look at him grow! This is my first plant and I can't wait until he flourishes flowers! HAPPY EARTH DAY EVERYONE!

Irving Penn

"I can get obsessed by anything if I look at it long enough. That's the curse of being a photography."

-Irving Penn

Irving Penn is one of my favorite photographers because he can find the beauty where others can't. Photography is about capturing what captivates you and that is why Penn was a great photographer. He is the most inspirational because he was one of the first photographers to be considered in the category of surrealism.

Irving Penn inspires me to look at the world from all perspectives and encourages me to try black and white photography.

I'm so glad I was able to take the time and experience Irving Penn's work at the Dallas Museum of Art where the exhibit, "Beyond Beauty", will continue until the end of July.
