I woke up frantic on December 4th because that was the day of my photography showcase and after two months of preparing it was finally here! Photos? Check. Portfolios? Check. Problems? Worry about that later.

Out the door I went. Traffic wasn’t that bad so I was safe. When I arrived, I loaded everything inside so I could start setting up! As I was hanging my pictures something didn't add up. 1…2….3...hmm...5…6…OMG I LEFT ONE OF MY FRAMED PIECES AT HOME! My heart sank as I was trying to calculate how much time I had to finish my booth, get ready, take my headshot, all in 2 hours and to top everything off I need MORE LIGHTS!

I will spare you the details of how I ran across Dallas during rush hour traffic like a crazy woman, but long story short I had enough time for everything. It just took a little improvising, panic and help from my partner in crime.

My showcase was brought to you by Raw, an independent arts organization that helps artists network and expand their creative community. I am so thankful to be apart of an amazing group of talented people and I’m excited to see what the future holds post showcase.
