I am sad to say goodbye to the Takashi Murakami exhibit at the Modern Museum of Fort Worth. This exhibit was vibrant and imaginative. His exhibition “showcases the artist’s astute eye for the contemporary influences of globalization, media culture, the continued threats of nuclear power.” - Modern Museum of Fort Worth.
Even Kanye West saw talent in Takashi Murakami and hired him to do his album art!
Though the art was playful, colorful, and bright I couldn’t help feel a sense of fear or nightmare-esque.
The Takashi Murakami exhibit was also shocking with the sexual content he presented. Parents fled when they noticed how risqué some of the sculptures were.
